Re: air/fuel gauge

wire it to your ignition so that it is only getting power when the car is turned on

Re: air/fuel gauge

Wire to it the cigarette lighter or the ciggy ring light...that's how i did mine.
remove the center console where the radio is held and you'll find the cigarette lighter. The wire, well, i dont know which one but i can tell you it's not the black colored wire, that's the ground.

Re: air/fuel gauge

A11 or A24 on the ecu harness

just about any black/yellow wire is a 12v switched power source.

Re: air/fuel gauge

the most solid source is to directly splice to the ignition or acc wire on the ignition harness under the steering column. I forgot the colors but I believe 98vtec is correct about the black/yellow. that sounds familiar.
It will be about 6 heavy gauge (10 I think) wires in a shiny black loom leading straight to the key cylinder. Very easy to find and very large wires. Just throw a fuse in line since lots of current can flow through this circuit. I'll try to get some pics up if i can.

If you use a meter to test (Which I HIGHLY RECOMMEND), here is what you are testing for: The ACC or IGN wire will work fine.

Key in the "Off" position:

Only the constant power wire will show 12V. This wire will always show 12V.

key in the "On" position:
Ignition-->12V
ACC wire(s) --> 12V
Starter Wire--> ground
basically, everything is hot except the starter wire.

Key in the ACC position:
Same as "On" Should be anyways...

Key in the "Cranking" postion:

Ignition wire: 12V
Starter wire: 12V
ACC wire(s): ground

yea, i'll get some pics up later....
