I got the guy down to 2500. I am wondering he says that is has a broken ball joint but has the part. What do I need to change that myself. 160,000 on the body and 60,000 on the engine.

i like it! Looks pretty darn cool and for 2500 thats a good deal go look at it and have him get an inspection done

that ball joint isn't a problem... mine had the same thing but it was like $180 for an hour in the shop with the part but he's already got it then it'll just be like 20-50 bucks...

Not for sure tho..

well I'd take it to a shop because there going to have to give it an alignment and I know for a fact that it calls for at least an hour to put that thing in then what ever the alignment cost. That would be your best bet

+1. Rake + FWD car = Puke.

But for $2500, it ain't bad. Make sure to test drive it, and when you test drive it, really drive it. If you decide to get it, drop it with your own suspension setup cuz that one is whack. As far as the "broken" ball joint, that's an easy fix. I just got whole new Upper Control Arms for like $130 apiece, there are only like 3 bolts holding them on. If you're mechanically inclined at all you can do it yourself in an afternoon with some basic tools.

how to do a ball joint ^..same principals apply to all of them(unbolt, take out, put in)

no alignment need for a ball joint change if you dont mess with the tie rods and if they are already aligned

Also. Side note.. I've never seen a Prelude get 35 mpg?? Not even my F22B1 on my Old accord got 35. It got like 32 tops. Ball joint is easy to do yourself. I know the Accord has a pressed ball joint for the front top A-frame. Just need a press of course. Then you might need an alignment. From what I've seen you can probably get an adjustable ball joint since it looks like it's been lowered.

I had to put a camber kit on an Accord and i took it to get aligned. I paid $80 for the guy to put a ****ing level on my rim, tighten the camber adjustments, and hook it to the camber machine to be spot on... I will never have anyone adjust my camber again. But.. when you adjust your camber you have to adjust the toe also. So there are ways to do that yourself and be pretty darn close.
