160 thermo

now theres still a few questions that would need to be answered like what is the manafactuer specified veichle runing tempeture.....

but ive had pretty good sucess going with cooler thermostats on a few of my other cars but again im complty new to the honda scene so im looking for input.

the idea im after is in the desert i live in here, its pretty much 90+ out side on a good day year round pretty close at least

we all know if you can cool down the engine water temp you can cool down everything from the oil to the temp inside the cmbst. chamber to the intake manafold itself.
lil denser might net some gains.

the flip side is how cold is to cold and will run into pre-mature wear problems....

Re: 160 thermo

Well my lude at the drag strip ran at about 185. Mugen makes a low temp thermostat and a fan switch (you'll have to get them both) that would be your safest bet and some water wetter.

Re: 160 thermo

if i may ask, why do you suggest going with the lower temp fan switch.....

seems like if you can try and keep it away from tripping the factory temp fan switch - you win because that much less power wil get drained from the battery and therefore the alt, going back to the engine and drain on it
