Exhaust Budget..

Alright so since ive gotten the car its had some crappy ebay exhaust (No brand name) and havent gotten around to buyin a new one. I will have around 350-450$ extra bucks in 2 weeks and wanted to get a new cat back. Ive looked at a few brands and my favorite is the greddy evo2 but thats like 700 bucks so meh i might settle for something a little less. One that are out of the question are the coffee can tips that look really ricer (No thx on Megan's) So heres a few that i found and if theres any that sound better or are better quality list em and if you have experience with them post it!

Apexi Ws2 (400.00)
Greddy Evo2 (Mabey.. 700.00)
RS*R ($ idk)

Any info will help, Thanks

Re: Exhaust Budget..

keep what you have and get a vibrant muffler. I's gonna flow just as well as any of the $$$$$ ones you mentioned for a fraction of the cost

it'll go from looking like this:

to this:

Re: Exhaust Budget..

well the fact that the ebay's welds are shot and a few leaks and the piping is different sizes so i have bad backpressure... i think its time she deserves something new =)

Re: Exhaust Budget..

2.5" is probably the best for flow. I dunno- I just really like my setup.

Re: Exhaust Budget..

unless ur running boost, everyone i talked to says 2.25 is perfect, but this is very opinionated, you could be right i could be really wrong, youknow

Re: Exhaust Budget..

very true, but I've seen several dynos showing that more power was made with a 2.5" vs. a 2.25" on a bolt-on D16. Add another half liter of displacement and I'd tend to think that 2.5" would be a minumium. Just my opinion though, like you said

www.hottexhaust.com

custom is the way to go if you are on a budget... and vibrant products are very good.

I would go 2.5"... you can get a high flow cat AND everything you need for the price on a cat back system... and prob have it installed to boot.

Re: Exhaust Budget..

go with the WS2. that is my fav exhaust by far. i have it on my lude and know a lot of guys with it on 4th gens.

but if you have your heart set on the evo2 than look around on all the forums. throw up some WTB threads.

good luck

Re: Exhaust Budget..

it was coupled with 6 year old Apexi N1 piping and was seriously the greatest exhaust note i have heard to date on any honda.
