Plans:From Now to Late December.

[Suspension\car Build I guess you could say][No major engine mods what so ever but more of a handling curve hugging car]Alright I just bought a 4th gen White lude.Came With Bronze 17" Adr's,Skunk2 Springs,Kyb Gas Struts,Obx Catback exhaust,Cold Air Intake[not for sure of brand],Oem wheels with tires,Some type of nice racing seats,so on and so fourth. These were my plans for my car mainly suspension and handling wise while trying to use megan racing wise for mag. and good items with great prices.

Those things hanging from the mirror are not mine btw everyone keeps giving me crap!..1.212.

[Everyone tell me what I should order first if you dont mind I have about 500 Cash on me right now.][I will mark off as the items come to me and take pictures.]

-Megan Racing Upper Strut Bar-
-Megan Racing Upper Rear Strut Bar-
-Megan Racing Lower Rear Tie Bar-
-Megan Racing Lower Rear Tie Bar-
-Megan Racing 4-2-1 Header-
-Megan Racing Lightened Crank Pulley-
-Megan Racing Test Pipe-
-Megan Racing Lower Rear Control Arms-
-2 Megan Racing Black Seat Harnesses with Red pads-
-4 Point Race Harness Bars kind of like a tiny roll cage but for the harnesses and still provides handling support-
-5% Window Tint-
-Alpine 10" Sub-[Have Alpine 9827 Headunit,6 Infinity Speakers, and a Alpine Ipod Adapter that I have no use for]
-Clear Corners-
-Black Housing Headlights-
-10K Hid Kit which is really nice blue from this company-

To come at same time or possibly later:
Full Tein Coilover setup retails at like 1300.
F&R Tanabe Sway Bars most likely will try getting them first though.
Maybe Replace my obx catback for megan racing to go with the brand for a mag.

Why Neuspeed I was just gonna order ALL the megan stuff from one seller on ebay or whatever site has the prices cheapest which totally all up ebay sells it all cheaper together from those sellers.Unless I can find a site that does free shipping after so much money spend.

you can go that route if you wanna save some $$. but the NEUSPEED front upper strut bar is a fixed 4 point brace. it is much sturdier than the megan and most others. the megans are adjustable. fixed is stronger. i had megan and switched and felt a big difference when cornering. not only that it's sexy as hell... lol.
ps. let me know if you want that OBX Test Pipe

this is the blue Megan bar i had on my EBP

this is the Neuspeed bar on my Silver SH (no more EBP-RIP)

Re: Plans:From Now to Late December.

neuspeed in excellent, I have their springs though, not their strut bar... I would say they are equal or superior to tanabe... lower braces aren't really a requirement (unless you really want the look).. and I would be tempted to keep my stock control arms, but add some polyurethane bushings... when you do all that other suspension work you may find you need it (I did) and it is too often overlooked.

Re: Plans:From Now to Late December.

Upper Tie bar
Suspension parts.
The Tanabe front sway bar is 30mm compared to the neuspeed's 25mm(which is the stock size, but stronger than stock) I don't know if you want that stiff of a front sway bar, might make it have more understeer. If you want more oversteer than you need a stiffer rear bar.

Jesus...200 for that upper bar...It better be the best damn one you can get for that price.Megan is like 60 and skunk2 is like 100.

Ill stay megan racing and skunk2.I will not pay 450 dollars for a neuspeed rear sway bar and 230 for the front...Ill pass on all three and just sell my extra rims and buy full Tein race suspension for 1200???

I could get a tanabe front and rear for cheaper than just the neuspeed rear.=\\

$100 - http://store.phantasmusa.com/352080p.html

GOOGLE is your friend. search!

also don't quote me but my boy rich mentioned that the same bar will fit 92-01 so you can search 4th and 5th gen posts and buy any. look into that a lil more before you do though.

good luck

Re: Plans:From Now to Late December.

ebay has some NS stuff from time to time.. be careful, watch feedback, and you may get lucky...

http://optionimports.com/ seems like that site had good prices, but I haven't looked in some time... (but now I am not seeing NS products there... sorry)

edit: here ya go! http://www.google.com/products?q=buy...oducts&show=dd
http://www.directtuning.com/store/pc...USPEED%20.aspx (think this site has been around and has good deals...)

somewhere I have a link saved to tanabe strut tower bars for about $100/each...

Re: Plans:From Now to Late December.

why are you going to waste your money on parts which came about through ebay?

you are reducing the **** out of your night time visibility with 10k bulbs for one and the rest of the stuff you are buying is a complete waste other than maybe the exhaust for a little sound.
test pipe for a street car = no no IMO.

I agree with this one... I got my high flow cat for about $90... from www.hottexhaust.com ...

and custom exhaust is a cheap effective solution (relatively speaking)..

Re: Plans:From Now to Late December.

First off its not pointless its going to be a full suspension\handling car...Also the test pipe is better may be louder but takes off some pressure and makes some power. Thanks for helping me out guys keep up the good work=DDDima start looking through all these sites now since I have a little time on my hands.

Also is illegal for Street use in most areas.

Re: Plans:From Now to Late December.

your car will sound raspy as fukk, I have a friend who put a test pipe on his prelude. He regretted it so much he was willing to sacarfice the extra 2whp to get a high flow cat. Its not even worth it bro, I heard it b4, and it anoying as fukk. Not to forget that it does harm to the earth and adds more pollution.

Re: Plans:From Now to Late December.

i dont think you realize how many exhausts i have been through, how much testing i have done, and generally how logical my advice tends to be.

the power difference between a high flow cat and a test part are negligible to go with a test pipe for the street. It's loud, obnoxious, illegal and pollutes the air. Hell i run a high flow cat on my engine and im still making great power. What does that tell you about whats going to happen for a stock engine?

i still, to this day, do not understand why people put crap stuff on their cars which are cheaper than the OEM.

megan racing crank pulley...that just screams at me "good god."

what is your infatuation with megan? You know there are better places to buy aftermarket parts than ebay right?

save your money and spend it on stuff that is quality made like the Tein suspension (good choice) you are wanting.

If you think you are going to get into a magazine buy using all megan parts, then you are in for a rude awakening as to what magazine editors are looking for.

Re: Plans:From Now to Late December.

No megan has nothing but good reviews from sites ive seen them on and always have been told megan racing for the price without having to spend like 400 on a dcsports header and 175 shipped on a megan racing header made with the same exact design there is no difference sides carb classifications.I want to order as much as I can from one site which I can with megan also but it doesnt truely matter I was just spitballing stuff off which ill end up ordering dif stuff im sure once i see other choices.

I was Tein SS suspension or Street suspension one is like 800 the other is like 1050 or 1150.I say that because In my eyes I believe Tein is the best and sits nice as hell.I am going with the neuspeed strut bar like you guys have mentioned i should have it ordered tomorrow I have a dance to attend to in few minutes.Sway bars I believe i will order from tanabe this week due to being ALOTTT cheaper then the neuspeed ones and prob are almost just as good.I decided since I do like the deep tone ill try ordering the megan racing 4-2-1 Header,Magnaflow cat,and hopefully Rs*r Exhaust if they make it for non vtec models=].Ill say what else in order in the next week once I get home I am running late=\

Any suggestions would be great.

Re: Plans:From Now to Late December.

if i could give you any advice on modifying your car. DO NOT MODIFY IT BASED ON PRICE.

Go with the Tein SS as it has adjustable damper that the base does not have.

You dont need a front sway bar. A lot of real racers actually remove the front sway bar. The most important sway is the rear one and Progress makes the thickest one.

Save your money on performance parts. If you dont have an engine management system to sync the fueling and ignition timing then its really no use unless you just want it for looks and thats kinda defeating the purpose of "building" a car for performance.

Instead of paying for engine performance, beef up your brakes and suspension. Stainless brake lines, maybe convert to better brake calipers/rotors/pads. There are much better options for doing what you want to do that will give you more than what i can bet you are expecting out of engine performance.

that 2 cents is free.

ok well after some serious research ill go with

Magnaflow or Hks High flow Cat

4-2-1 Megan racing header with 2.5 collector adapted

Hopefully get a Rsr catback soon if not ill stay with obx till I find something I want.

Neuspeed Front Strut Bar

Megan racing control arms unless theres something better i should go with there

Energy Suspension kit for all the accessories

Neuspeed rear I suggest only since everyone says no front.

Ill keep my oem "si" wheels for the smaller rim size and throw some nittogens or falken tires on there

neuspeed or skunk2 upper rear strut bar

I read through it fast and may have missed something, but this seems pointless to me unless your stock stuff is broken... you will be replacing the bushings according to the next line, and that is more than enough to get it where you want it...

I agree that you need to tune in order to reap the benefit of any engine mod.
I agree with everything above.... the rear swaybar from progress is the only one to conisider unless looks alone are important to you... I have no issue with understeer as a daily driver and I have stock swap bars, agxes, NS sports, and polyurethane masterkit, trailing arm, and sway bar bushings... handles amazingly... esp with brand new yoko avid v4s!
...and the SS is worth saving up for... otherwise get agxes/koni yellows and a nice sport/race spring.
