Icon7 Turbo or Motor

Alright new to preludezone so im not sure if this is where i should post this.Well about a month ago i bought a 93 prelude si white with some quarter rust.Block is toasted and its auto.Got it for 1000cash and it came with sparco knockoff racing seats,skunk2 springs, kyb gas shocks,Skunk2 Strut bar,Obx Catback Exhaust 2.5" going to swap the muffler with the obx twin loop heard its sounds decent,Some type of Test pipe,17" adr Bronze rims with Chrome lip,Free set of the oem prelude "si" wheels with tires,Wings West 3 piece spoiler which cost alot from what I hear but im getting rid of it.Alot more but not naming them lets get on with the questions.

I plan on swapping this to a manual but I was unsure If I should keep my h23 and turbo it or keep the money and do a jdm h22 swap with some bolt ons.Wasnt for sure whats better to go with.If I go turbo I was gonna do, greddy 18g,Mishimoto small black intercooler,Tial wastegate n bov,Custom made piping,Some decent injectors, aem fuel rail, walbro 255 pump,s200 or 300 and all the other goodies.

Any feedback would be great sorry if Its in wrong spot didnt really wanna register on another site for more info but i figured this would be best.

Re: Turbo or Motor

H23 isn't the best motor for boost, but it's okay I guess. You didn't say anything about upgrading the internals, you'd have to do that to run boost on the H23, definantly. I say it's really up to you, you'd probably end up spending a little more with forgeing all the internals and than all the turbo parts, however you'll be able to get more out of it overall. H22 would probably be a little less, but you'll still have to spend more money to get it as high as a turbo set up would. So I guess it's on if you want to spend alot of money at once, or spend it a little slower.

You keeping the stock SI rims/wheels?

where'd you get that info from????
building it is NOT necessary to run low boost.

but since the OP said the block was toast, than a rebuild is a must. rebuild the block for about 2-3G's, spend about the same for the turbo setup, and have 400+hp?
i'd say its worth it. assuming you can afford the downtime to build the motor.
