Re: kyb agx adjustable shocks

I thought my agxes were bottoming on neuspeed sports just after I dropped it but I already had bumpstops cut in half. I could not find a problem, so I went with polyurethane bushings all around and it was fixed... it really was a bottoming out "ka-thunk" that I was experiencing though...

this could be the problem if your bumpstops are trimmed...

Re: kyb agx adjustable shocks

H&R race (about a 2" drop w/the same spring rates as the nuespeeds) over KYB AGXs (3 in the front 4 in the rear) and not the first time did I bottom out.

Re: kyb agx adjustable shocks

you apparently missed my point... if it sounds like a bottom out, but it is not, and there are no other physical problems, it could very well be the bushings... what I was experiencing was the same, so it is a POSSIBILITY, but not definitely your bushings... the clues say it COULD be, because no one else with a similar setup is having bottoming problems... and when I THOUGHT I was (bottoming), it was actually the bushings... didn't try to find out which bushing(s), just got them all, master kit, trailing arm, and sway bar...

Exact setup here, but I do bottom a lot, and not all of it is just the thunk that mr_y82 mentioned.

Re: kyb agx adjustable shocks

if you don't think it is the bushings, you might have to get different ball joints... I know if I was lower I would not want the spcs I have on the car because they stick up more and will bump quicker.

Re: kyb agx adjustable shocks

if you get a sport spring you def. should not bottom out often at all (1.7" drop or less).... if it's not the bushings.
