Just ordered an injen rd1700 black I HAVE A QUESTION!!

It says in the discription that this injen rd1700 cold aiiir is for the DOHC h22/h23,,i have the f22a1 wondering if it will fit, i just ordered it for 240, which was the lowest i found. Why didn't you just get one specific for your F22? AEM makes tons of them. Short Rams, CAI, the new V2 systems, whatever.

I'm not 100% sure, and I don't know if you can really be 100% sure without actually contacting Injen. It might f*ck up your air to fuel ratio, who knows. I wouldn't use it, I'd return it and get something else. Look at it this way, would you use a header that said it was for H22/H23 apps on your F22? I guess it's really up to you, but AEM is a good name with some quality stuff. They made a new dryflow filter that doesn't even take oil, it's pretty nifty.

Re: Just ordered an injen rd1700 black I HAVE A QUESTION!!

yeah im thinkin that too, the place I ordered it from is about 45 minutes away from where i work at dulles, Im thinkin ill install it, see if i notice any differences, if it lags or something worse ill return it and get the proper one. I wanted to get this one because i'm going to purchase an H22 within a month or two, and it will be a budget swap, just figured that this would be one more thing i could recycle to the h22. the worst part about this swap is that, i have a 96 obd2, everyone else is obd1, and to save money and keep my car from failing emmissions i have to find a 96 motor. i might be wrong though, but virginia laws are tough.

4th and 5th gen intakes are all interchangeable, no matter what engine unless it's some off the wall RWD conversion.
You're good to go.

Maybe the V2, I've never used it. But the short ram works perfectly. The short ram isn't mass produced for both gens as it has special instructions and a mounting bracket just for the 92-96 prelude due to some vacuum lines. And in that referanced thread, if that guy almost hydro locked than maybe he should think about a water bypass. Anyone with a DD should either not do a CAI or do a water bypass or you're just going to f*ck yourself over eventually. I don't care about CAI's cause I like my throttle response and low/mid range power over my mid/high. But that's just me. AEM isn't actually garbage, but you're entitled to your opinion.
