Re: Turbo kit for f22 and h23

Idk, personally it looks a little rusted up to me, and he doesn't say how many miles are on the turbo or what condition it's in - but otherwise it's a real nice deal, especially since it comes with pretty much everything you need!

If was for an H22 i would give it a second look for sure tho

Re: Turbo kit for f22 and h23

tiny turbo + H22 = FTL

and its rusted cuz it came off a DSM, its not a brand new kit. this would be a perfect beginners turbo kit just to get your feet wet in the world of boost, but only for H23/F22 owners. it'd be retarded to spend half the cost of this entire kit on a new H22 manifold, when that turbo would be running outta breathe by the time you hit vtec.

I have an f22a1, around 95k miles on it... what kind of boost could I attain safely on it?

Edit( Also, what performance increase would I be looking at? would the f22 5-speed be able to handle it?

I got a response from him

"Yo this has about 300 miles on it an yea it was on a f22a1 bottom with a f22a6 head and i took it off cause my boy bought a car w/o a turbo an it put out 36 lbs its a evo 10 turbo and on my motor i was pullin 15lbs on it but i had a boost ****e cause my vacum lines were connected wrong other than that da turbo setup was good man"

Re: Turbo kit for f22 and h23

you can run as much boost as you want.

and can gain anywhere from 1-1000hp.

Re: Turbo kit for f22 and h23

^^Umm, I 'm sure I can.... If I ran it at as much as I wanted, I would blow my engine. that wasn't the question.

What I was trying to say was, what amount will be safe for a f22a1 stock internals, with less than 100k miles. I am guessing that I shouldn't attempt to run it at anything over 10psi. and if I do run 10 psi what increase would I be looking at?
And as far as ECU goes, what ECU/tuning would be the best option.
If I sound like a noob, just tell me! I want to learn as much as I can about my car.

Re: Turbo kit for f22 and h23

1st: its not about how much PSI you wanna run. 10psi on a dinky 14b is NOT the same as 10psi on a GT35r.

2nd: there is no X-limit that you can run and be totally safe. hell, you could destroy your engine simply with a CAI.

ECU's... there's standalones, chipped ECU's, FMU's....

just go browse thru the F/I section for a bit. i've said all of this many many times.
