Please help me with my stupid wiring.

Okay on the back of the block you have the knock sensor above the oil filter. The connector should be a single red/blue wire?

The powersteering plug is on the frame right behind the oil filter which is a green connector with black/yellow, pink or a gray connector with black, red/green.

Then the are no more plugs left and i'm left with one connector either of the two that is not supposed to be plugged in the green plug.

Am I missing something, and the question marks are the questions. Thanks for all of your help.

Also, if someone could tell me the wire colors connected to their powersteering plug I would be so happy.

edit: is the pgm-fi main relay on the back of the block right above the oil filter on the jdm h22, and does the jdm h22 even have a knock sensor?

Re: Please help me with my stupid wiring.

Alright update:
H23 Harness, JDM H22a Engine, USDM p13 ECU

Behind the block under the intake manifold there are three connectors.
1. Gray connector with Black/yellow and pink wires
2. Gray connector with red/blue wire
3. Green connector with green/red and black wire

When I have the gray connector with the red/blue wire connected to the knock sensor (which I believe is technically the right connection, and I do also have it correctly wired up to the ecu) and I have the red/green, black wires connected to the powersteering I don't throw a ks cel code, but my engine is really sluggish, i mean really sluggish.

But when I plug up the black/yellow, pink wires up to the knock sensor and leave the powersteerig the same, the engine runs fine, but I throw the code.

Now, I believe if I am looking at the ecu pinout correctly the red/green wire is for the powersteering, so I think the powersteering is correct.

Either way something is messed up, and what does the third plug plug into. I have searched and searched, and i have tried to make since of the service manual wiring diagram, but I can't seem to figure it out. Thanks for any of your help.

BLK/YEL and PNK are for the IABs.

Re: Please help me with my stupid wiring.

alright. so update again. the knock sensor on the jdm is above the oil filter. However, I don't have the iab solenoid and what not even setup. My question is, doesn't the h23 have the iab solenoid in the same place as the h22. If so, can't I just transfer my iab from the h23 to the new h22.

edit: sorry my h23 is at the shop right now, and we are closed this week. so i can't just look at it.

Yes, the IAB solenoid is the same between the H23 and H22.

Re: Please help me with my stupid wiring.

Got the IAB solenoid hooked up and plugged in. Everything seems to run right so far. I test drove it, and I could feel a slight change in low-end power. Thanks for all your help.

Re: Please help me with my stupid wiring.

I'm not talking about engaging VTEC. I am talking about the tiny bit of low end power that you lose when you dont have the IABs plugged in.

Re: Please help me with my stupid wiring.

^ can't help you with much, but I can confirm that jdm h22as DO have a knock sensor (on stock jdm/usdm p13)... you'll lose it when you wisen up and get a chipped p28... :)

The beauty of the chipped p28...

Re: Please help me with my stupid wiring.

I already got things figured out, but thanks though. I know exactly what a p28 will do, I don't want it right now, thanks as well.
