Icon5 Craigslist... worth it?

Alright so ive got the "Ok" air intake off of ebay and i was browsing craigslist and saw that some dude was selling a AEM cold air with a bypass valve (rly need) for 100 bucks. Called the guy said the filter needs to be changed (no problem have extras) and he used it for 2 years and had no problems with it. Went on his lude and doesnt need anymore cause of some turbo set up so i really dont know if i should snag it or wait. If i was going to get it i would meet up with him tomarrow and take a look at it. No pics for it so ehh.. Opinions?

Re: Craigslist... worth it?

Go for it.

Just inspect it for damage. I've bought a lot of parts off of CL. Its like EBAY just without pay pal and security. If your paying in cash and in person, then there is no reason why you shouldn't.

Imo don't get it... I think an intake is just about thew style and filter if u have an ebay one with a nice filter like a k&n then your doin alright. I don't think then your doin ok. Don't waste the money. I love my $20 ebay intake cuz I but a $70 k&N filter on it. Works and sounds just as good as my buddy that's has an aem

...

Its a cold air intake vs a ram air intake. Go with the AEM cold air. Seriously. You'll get a little bit more hp, and if you know your car well, you'll notice it a little bit top end.

I say go for it. I would do it.

If it's a REAL cold air then i say get it if it not messed up. Even cheap cold air ones run $100+.

Re: Craigslist... worth it?

Good Job on the find and pick up. Filters arent that big of a deal. you can pick up a decent filter off of ebay for 5 bucks + shipping until you can get a nicer one. Or you can just go buy a good one if you got the extra money.

You definitely saved some money. If its slightly damaged, but still more than usable then you definitely won on that deal.
