Knock Sensor

I have a 93 prelude and just swapped in a h22a engine. There is a cel code of 23 being the knock sensor. I am using my h23 wire harness, and a usdm p13 ecu. The knock sensor is plugged up, so, I don't understand why it is throwing a code. Am I missing something?

edit: other than the fact that it might be a faulty sensor.

Re: Knock Sensor

Knock sensors can be picky... Some times even adding some after market parts and causing new things to happen to the motor that the sensor isnt used to can throw it into dissaray. Im really not sure is the h23 wire harness would cause a problem or not, i dont think it would...
Have it hooked to a scanner and see if any more information is there... A scanner may tell you if its a poor wire connection poor sensor or if the sensor doesnt like something going on with the motor...

Re: Knock Sensor

i threw a CEL for a KS once....

turns out mine was about 10 full revolutions loose

check that, then check the wiring. maybe some bad gas?
reset the ECU, and see if it comes back
