Re: will this work

As far as I know the H22 motor does fit into the 4th gen preludes, in fact there are probably multiple threads on our forum regarding this issue, just use that lovely old search button

And if that don't work (because our search function SUCKS) bug the crap out of E to find it. Either that or Colin (Brash22) will be around tonight and I'm sure he will have lots of free time to dig something up for you, he's helped me out quite alot

Re: will this work

it will drop right in, you can use your existing motor mounts for, I'm not sure about the harness but i assume you'd need one ment for the h22, and you'll deff need a different ecu to run your VTEC and get your redline up too.

Re: will this work

f22a1 h22 swap

You can use the same wiring harness. Mounts will work too. Map and tps sensor switch over, and you are already wired up for vtec as long as you don't have four wheel steering. Get a p13 ecu, not jdm though because they have a governor on them (so i've heard). Go ahead and change the cam plug seal, rear main seal, oil pan gasket, camshafts seals, valve cover gasket, timing belt, balancer shaft belt, and waterpump for peace of mind and reliability. I think that's about it.

nope. 92's weren't prewired for vtec.
everything else sounds good tho.

thats a pretty good deal, but it depends on shipping.
that pic looks like the wire harness is included with it tho.
stock mounts will work.
ECU will not.

Re: will this work

oh yeah, just found out today, kind of common sense, but I didn't put two and two together. If you get the JDM motor you can't use a usdm ecu because the vtec soleniod on the jdm motor only has the solenoid wire, and in order to use a usdm ecu with a jdm motor is to swap the solenoid for one off of a usdm motor. Hope this helps and keeps you from having to deal with the hassle that I am having to deal with. Ooops.
