Icon5 Question about transmission mount

Hello im new to the forum, but i had my prelude for a while now. I just bought a 93 si with a blown motor (auto), and i had a 96 si 5spd. . . so my question is the Right mount on the car is different than my 96's mount (it appears to be lower and more inward), will the 96 engine and trans bolt into the 93? or is the mounts different between the years? also i did try the search button with no avail... so sorry if its a repost. Any help would be appreciated!

wow you have a good eye, most people don't even notice that slight difference.
the answer is yes, but... you hafta redrill the hole that the bolt goes thru the chassis and tranny mount cuz its slightly higher and to the right? or something like that. this is most often done when doing an auto-5 speed swap on our cars, so it has been done numerous times (but not discussed here i dont think)

ray (bboixtc) just finished his 5-speed swap, and to redrill the hole, he simply made a cardboard template of the chassis mount on the 5 speed car, and used it on the auto car to drill the new hole.
hope this helped

if you have the resources to have it welded back on, then most def do that cuz it'll be 1000000 times easier than squeezing your hand back there to try to get the bolt to line up w/ the nut.

but if you can't weld it, a nut should be fine, with some lock-tite so that bitch doesn't come out!!!!!
and hope you never hafta take that bolt out again.
