ohh snapp hahaha i needed this one tonight.

check your brake lights, including your 3rd one, theres two bulbs in there and one of mine had gone out. i searched but couldn't find which of my lights where out till i looked up and noticed only half of my 3rd brake light was on

thanks for the advice but it wasnt that. my brake lights work fine including both of bulbs in the third brake light. i forgot to to mention its the one that says brake lamp not just brake. i dont know if that helps at all.

Maybe a faulty brake sensor switch on the brake pedal?

Yeah my guess would be the sensor. did the light come on after you changed all your rotors and what not and did you get after market brakes. that could also be causing the sensor to go off because its not use to the after market brakes but if they are aftermarkey OEM fit then im not sure.

The OP said "Brake Lamp" light. Rotors and pads have nothing to do with that light. It only comes on if a bulb is out. Have someone check all the brake lights while you push the brake pedal.

I bypassed it since it was always on after the LED 3rd brake light.

3rd gen ludes are know to have a bad sensor. If the light bugs you replace the sensor if not theres not much to worry about if you still can stop and your lights work.

This is the 4th gen section, not 3rd, so I'm not thinking that's going to help much.

sorry, I just saw it under new post. And this problem could have carried over into the 4th gen.

True, which is why I posted the sensor bypass.

Do all the brake lights come on? If so it could be wiring.

The sensors are just relays.

mine has been on for 3 years (keeps the ABS light company)... take a little piece of electrical tape and cover the b*tch up.

:P

Nah, I'd like to get mine fixed too... all my bulbs are and have been fine.

Go ask a tech what he might think it is.
