I only look at certain fourth gen owners like their the scum of the road...but that's because of the person not the car.

i know its all what ever floats your boat and all, But the only luders i'll give a look to is a poorly modded one or tore up one that has obviously been abused and driven into the ground by its owner

I get the vibe too. Only thing is, I sometimes give off that vibe in return. I'm a fourth gen person. They are the most different modern Honda produced (just look at the dash) that was the absolute cutting edge of technology in 92. When the 5th gen came out, it just seemed like a sporty accord coupe. Just me though, a Honda's a Honda, a Lude's a Lude, year, trim, or owner matters not. We're family:)

im a 5th genner... but i think of the 4th gens as an elder, and i give them my respect. Heck today i parked a block further away just to be next to another prelude (4th gen).

i cant help but signal to any lude i see (like when 2 bikes pass each other and do that wave thing with their left hand). doesnt matter what generation, its a lude. For all you 4th genners, not all 5th genners feel that way. I dont know any actually. I wonder if 3rd gen owners feel that way toward 4th and 5th gen owners?

I like all luders.

But 90% off all the 5th gens I see just want to race :/

and 99% of all the 4th gens I see are either molested and riced the fucc out
or
they think their car is supa fast because they have an automatic sohc f22a1.

I rarely ever EVER see any clean looking 4th's or people that have good taste in what they are doing to their Prelude's. It is sad.

I get too much hate from 3rd genners so I don't acknowledge them until they acknowledge me.

I usually acknowledge all types of lude, but you just have to frown at the huge winged nasty body kitted up preludes no matter that year they are.

I get a lot of dirty looks from 4th gens but that turns right around when they try and race me, and unfortunately lose lol

I don't acknowledge anyone on the roads. I'm too busy driving to care what type of car they drive. As long as they stay the hell out of my way and off my ass they could be riding a giraffe with racing stripes for all I care.

What I hate is when I'm parked somewhere and another Prelude pulls up, and for some reason the driver somehow feels we have some star crossed bond, and that we should somehow get together. Talking about cars is one thing, but when they try to use that as a hook to get my number it really gets up my nose. Its always fellow 5th genners who try that. Its funny because I ignore them at first, then they start going out of their way to attract my attention so I will notice their car. I've had a 5th gen for five years now, they're old news to me. Beautiful car no less, but I don't gush when I see one anymore.

4th gens on the other hand.. oh how I love thee. I'd give a fake number to drive a 4th gen around the block. ;)

I get the stink eye from another 5th gen cause his has a busted ass fiberglass lip kit, aftermarket taillights, fart box exhaust, lots of dents and always dirty. Mines clean and subtle. There are lots of riced out 4th gens around. One has a wing you can see above the vehicle. I would have bought a 4th gen but I cant get around the interior. I cant do it. I know it was cutting edge but so is a hybrid full sized suv.... I like the exterior style tho. The 4th gens have always been caught my eye.

Around here there are only a small handful of us, and most of them are 5th gens that are into the car scene, unfortunately the 4th gens are scooped up by elderly people for gas mileage, so it becomes a daily driver that goes 0-60 in uber slow...

The people that are into the tuning car scene aknowledge each other, we honk our horns or wave, something of the nature. I have yet to get a dirty look from any other prelude, even after beating them, they catch up after I slow down and wave with a smile, give the official "nice car, fun race" nod and then thats the end of it. I was actually not paying attention at all one day at a stoplight and as I was turning I heard a honk and there was a MINT red 3rd gen prelude in the other lane, and I didn't even notice...lol.

I made up for it tho, saw him the next day, same location, and gave him one LOONG honk, he was laughin when I drove past him and he gave a real long honk back.

We all have preludes here, why does one generation have to be "better" then the other? Personally, I dont like the 4th gens but that doesnt mean I don't show respect when I see a turbo 4th gen thats super clean, he is a fellow luder and fellow car enthusiast, show some love and respect!!

I usally signal other luders I see, but it does always seem to be the people who drive the 5th gens that pretend i dont exist. I'm not saying thats the way all 5th gen drivers are, but its the case around here where I live. I think its pretty f'ed up. Like everyone else is saying, we should all stick together, or atleast respect eachother.

poohbear will become famous soon enoughpoohbear will become famous soon enough
Iv seen a few 4th gens where I'm at and hardly any 5th gens at all (only 1 so far).
I am a 5th gen guy, but I do seem to get looked down on by other 4th gens. Jealousy maybe? Lol just playin. Poking fun at eachother is one thing, its all part of the culture. But I don't look at 4th gens as being less then a 5th gen, just a different variation in a good series of cars.
But maybe its just the thought that for some reason people think that if your that guy with a 5th gen you think your better then everyone else. I just don't think that's the case. I'm sure there are people who think that they ae better because of the gen of there car, but for the most part its all in the hobby.
I use to mod jeeps very heavily. And it never mattered what year or gen your jeep was. A jeep was a jeep and its all about having fun with your hobby. Jeepers regardless of year would pull over to help another jeeper on the side of the road just because.
You can only have fun with your hobby if the people involved with your hobby have fun too.
So let's all just have a good time with our ludes. Because a prelude is a prelude and your generation of lude depends on ur taste.
So let's just respect everyones oppinions, and help eachother out to have the best time we can with our cars. :-)

Well that's just my 2 cents

I like to hang around other preludes I see on the road including 5th's although personally I dont really like their body style. Most of the 4ths I see are riced to the max, theres one at school thats covered in duct tape.... its sad! I usually get dirty looks from the 5th gens but I figure its jealousy that my car is 16 this year and is still faster! =]

A prelude is an extreemly great peice of art work from the first gen to the last. I give credit to poeple who keep them up and take care of them but if your lude looks like S!$t
no respect given. Thats just the way it is

I have another white 95 Lude SI that must belong to sumone who works at a bank around the corner from me, its always in the parking lot...Its Identical to my car, lowered, color, even the LICENSE PLATES have the same first 3 letters...I was fueling up at the gas station next to the bank, and while I was waiting in line to pay, I saw that lude fly through the parking lot and out onto the road...I almost went into cardiac arrest thinking sumone stole my car...the license plate was what really scared me ****less.

I'll park next to it one day and take pics...

Long story short, ludes are nice lookin, just depends on your style. I like the curves of the 4th gen, but the 5th have the unique lamps. They all have their highs.

How come? NEVER got bad looks from other Honda people. Only old ladies who think I'm too loud hehehe. Not even bad looks from cops unless it was an old lady :).

But not really. As long as you don't drive like an idiot and you don't have that cheap gangster wannabe look.... you should be fine.

I see a lot of ricer 4th gen's around. I think it's cause people can find some high mileage h23's for dirt cheap. Those guys give me weird looks even though we have the same car! They even try to race me! I'm just like OK riceboy just mow along.

I see some hot chicks in 5th gen's. Too bad they don't know what they're driving :/
