Issue with the "thump"

So my purely factory sound system is causing a loud knocking noise in the ceiling of my car....very difficult to pin point where its coming from. Happens regardless of if the sun roof is open or closed. I turned the bass down and it didnt help, so I turned the sub down, and if I have it at 0 it doesnt do it....but also takes the thump out of my ride =D

Anyone know what this noise is? And a good way to prevent seatbelt guides, etc, from vibrating with the bass. Drives me crazy.

Urg its just so annoying to hear that knock....I can turn the bass up to drown out the vibrating seatbelt guides, but that knock just gets louder and louder...Ruins my "beat"

Climb in there with no sound going and punch things until you hear the same noise. Whatever you hit, it's that.

Lol BRILLIANT! I cant believe I didnt think of that! Thanks! I shall beat the **** out of my interior first thing tomorrow morning!

Im just kidding, not bashin u, i DID think of that, I just found a better way of doing it.

Im making a recording of a bass drum, single thumps, 5 seconds apart. Which I will play on a CD so that its clear and no other music to mask the noise. Maybe that way I can find out exactly where it is.

Through logic, it must be sumthing with the sun roof. Only a matter of time till I figure it out...fixing it is a different story.
