which prelude should i get?

Hi, i just joined this site a couple days ago cause im getting a prelude in the next week or two and im deciding which one i should go for, the white one only has 116k km not miles and everything is good with the car tranny engine and safetied ect. The black one has over 300k kilometers but a new jdm 2.2 vtech motor was installed along with a new transmission. I'm not sure if i can trust a car that got a new motor and tranny by someone else? and the black one is leather w heated seats. The white one is a 93 and the black a 95. There both the same price and I need one soon because my 94 camry with over half a million mileage is goign to die soon! Since u guys are all prelude crazed which one would u get?!?!?

personaly i'd go with the white one just because the black one has ALOT miliage on it, the engine might be good but the suspension, electrical and most other aspects of the car are probably pretty worn....my 2 cents

go for the black one... The heated leather seats are nice and i think black is HOTT on teh ludes... and it has a h22a with pretty low miles on it.. I would take a car with high miles on the body and low miles on the engine if it was a worthy engine over a car with less miles and a ok engine and body...

the black one doesn't have any rust at all but i went to go look at the white one and its rusted around the bottom...I plan on getting new suspension on the car anyway, what other things would i have to worry about if a car has more than 300k kilometers? i probably have to get new belts and hoses

If the engine and tranny WERE replaced. Then you shouldnt need to worry about belts or hoses, they should have put new ones on when they did the swap, or the new engine should have already had decent ones on it. Find out exactly how long ago the swap was done. Plus any reciepts that would prove to you that the work was actually done. Or a reciept of the new engine. Whatever can provide solid info on the swap. The black '95 is going to have upgraded interior over the white '93 and if the body and underbody look better than the white ones, i would go for the black one. If you went with the black one, i wouldnt really worry about electrical too much, they only stuff that would be electrically dry rotted would be in the engine bay, and when they did the swap they probably cleaned the connections. Other than that, suspension you would have to look at on the black one. test drive it, listen for any noises over bumps, feel for the steering if it doesnt feel smooth or you can hear noises when you turn the wheel. on the outside of the car, push down on each corner, seeing if the suspension does its job (doesnt allow that corner to bounce up and down exsessivly). If there isnt any rust on the black one, you should onbly have to worry about that suspension crap

The h22 is a good upgrade, but if I was you I would buy somethin unmodified and make it your own. After doing some research h22 may not be the route you want to take.

Just my 2 cents.

Btw ... I like the color white on 4g's too.

i'm with 2.2 on this one. i'd go for the white one. i love the 4th gen in white and the black one has crazy miles on it. with that many miles on the car it could have/may soon have lots of other issues.
