Icon5 92 prelude front damage h22 should i buy?

I was wandering how good a deal this might be. I could buy a 92 prelude that has hit a pole at about 10mph needs everything from radiator support forward including a hood, radiator and a radiator support, the car has 154,000 miles and a jdm F22b swaped in it with 60.000 miles on it. The rest of the car is in nice shape and has a set of 17" Momo rims with practically new kuhmo tires on them. The guy is asking $800.00 for the car and said he may take less. Is this a good deal? It sounds like it to me but also not sure if car has a salvage title or not im thinking not. Also im not sure if this year had airbags yet. Could someone give me some input on this i would greatly appreciate it! Also how expensive would it be for the parts and any ideas where a good place to find them might be? I live in Ky. Thanks, J,R.

Depends on the title...if it's clear, snatch that up for $800.!!!! Worse comes to worse, you have a JDM h22 motor w. only 60,000 miles!

see if the H22 runs good, and how much you can talk him down to.
buy a prelude (or accord, or civic, whichever tickles your fancy) shell for a coupla hundred, and you have one helluva car for 2 grand, at most

Agreed ^^ It's hard to find good motors anywhere for 800, with that low of miles anyways, and if u can talk him down even more, the better. Then get a shell (Prelude FTW!!!) and ur sittin pretty!

BTW Neck.... Where in the world did you find that thing in your sig....almost peed myself laughing so hard....

h23?

The motor size was probably my mistake i thought he said he switched from a stock 2.0 liter to a 2.2liter jdm motor but he might have said 2.3, how good are h23's i dont know much about honda motors

Talk him down on the price. I'd say around 600. Make a list of everything that is ruined, price it, add it up, and you will see how much it will cost to fix. Nicks idea is good too(buy a shell etc etc.)

If your in the US, airbags were required on every vehicle since the late 80's. So yessir its got airbags....at least it did before it was crashed.

i swearrr its a fair trade!!!

but no, thats a decent motor. its not an H22 with Vtec, but the F22b is a turbo-fans dream motor. iron sleeves, DOHC, low compression.... mmmmmmm

Who cares what the title if it runs get it hel even if it don't. If you can't get it road league or don't want to pull the f22b, tranny ecu all that stuff part out what you can then sell the body for scrap. Might make a few hundred off what you don't need and then buy a 4th with a good body but crappy engine then turbo that bitch to hell and back. so for under 3k you could have a f22b 4th sound good to me.
