Bad Oil Leak

Ive got oil spraying out from under the timing belt cover on the lower right side anyone have any ideas? Oh its a 92 SI

either your crank seal has gone bad or your oil pump housing is leaking...

u better hope its just a seal cuz if not you have to drop the oil pan and exhaust

I would say the crank seal too. IDk if it will work on 4th gen but jack the car and put it on jack stands take off the tire and the wheel well plastic thing make sure you have the right oil leave and start it up get a flash light and look at the engine and see if you can find the leak. Might see something like this was on a saab not a lude the sound was b/c i had a bad oil pump too.

even if the crank and/or balancer shaft seal is bad, you still gotta drop the exhaust and pan off to take the oil pump off so you can push the seals off from the inside (unless there's a MUCH easier way that i didn't know about when i did mine )


but yea, if your gonna do all this work, you might as well go the whole 9 yards and change the timing belt, balancer belt, water pump, and tensioners.

i got all the seals out without taking the pan and pump off but i would do the whole 9 yards while i was in there cuz its just not a fun job to do more than once lol

haha i used a thing that kinda looks like a dental pick...ill post a pic up of them if you dont know what im talking about

i didnt use a flathead cuz i didnt want to scar the edges and have the seals not seal properly
