cruise control problems

anyone else have problems with their cruise control? both me and my friend elliot(who also has a 4th gen) have problems with it. another friend (who also has a 4th gen and had problems with his cruise control) and myself took a look at it one night and couldnt figure out the problem....help?

No fuses are blown I assume. The cable that positions the throttle still in tact? I thought mine was messed up - but it was just the fuse.

nope, no problems with mine cuz i removed it as soon as i got the car. even worked perfectly fine


first i would check for leaks in the vaccum hoses going to the CC actuator, black canister, and IM.

The other thing to check is the clutch peddle. If it doesn't sit perfectly at the neutral position, it disables the CC. Maybe hold it up with your foot and try to activate it.

i have a problem with mine to. i get all the lights including the one of the dash when i press set but it never sets

mine was an easy diagnosis, It was the VSS (vehicle speed sensor) but if that was the case, your speedometer and odometer wouldnt work as well, at least thats what it did with mine. I would have to say that neck is right...wait...do i actually wanna admit to that...? the vacuum lines are most likely cause
