K20?

Sorry if this has come up before, I did search and found nothing.

I'm just wondering how hard it would be to do a k20 swap. What would I need and how much harder would it be to do then doing a h22.

Also, does anyone know anyone who has done it?

Cheers guys

A lot more than the now available h22 swap...

I mean, i saw a while ago someone tried to do it, i even saw pics.
But if i can recall, the motor was too tall, the oil pan was really low and the hood wouldn't close correctly or somesht like that lol...

def. not worth it in my opinion, i would rather put a k20 in a Civic or CRX which mounts are available for those cars.

for the amount of money that would cost to do plus the headaches i dont think it would be worth it.

The K20 would always be worth it... however the amount of money involved.... you can swap the H22, get some great bolt ons, tune and eat k20's.....

I'm getting a K20A for my DA6 in jan (getting a great deal... 1500 from a wrecker) so I can just hoist it in over the 3GP just to have a glance at it.

I've built K24 hybrids man.....

Honestly, it's "eh". Plus for the DA6, the K20A2 at 200bhp is more then enough.

Keep in mind...if you do this swap, you will have 5 reverse gears and one forward, if you don't do it right. The K motors sit opposite of the H. So if you think it will bolt right up to the tranny in your car, you better think twice.

Just a heads up.

Later !!!

I've seen K20 in a 5th gen. K24/H20 hybrid in a 4th or 5th would kick ass. I love my H22 but I'm learning to love the new technology of the K series. Imagine that set-up along with 11.5:1 compression and the head work. T3h s3cks

Only 11:5.1?

Hell, with a properly built K24 block (piston reliefs must be exact, OEM K24 pistons can and will kiss the K20A's valves)

I wouldnt cut corners, 12:1-13:1 compression, built head, ITB's, full custom exhaust/header and Kpro.... 300WHP NA.

After an H22 3gp project, a K24 4g would sound fun.
