Hello Everyone,
After not being able to locate the antifreeze leak to my 1991 Si ALB I took it to my buddy at Mlady Nissan in the NW burbs of Chicago. He was able to locate to hoses in the back of the engine that needed replacing. He had the car in idle for 1.5 hours, and test drove it no leaks what so ever. He flushed the antifreeze and placed fresh liquid in. Last night I took it home and sure enough 20 minutes into my drive the gauge went up and then back down to the middle. After about 30 miles of driving with no issues then it went really max hot and stayed their for a couple minutes until I got home. The weird part was their wasn't much coolant leakage except some by the reservoir but I had to add some coolant to the main radiator. Please help ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Re: 91 Prelude 2.05 Si, Overheating Issue Again
MIGHT WANNA GET A NEW TEMP SENSOR. THE ONE NEAR THE THERMOSTAT NOT THE BOTTOM OF THE RADIATOR.HOW MUCH FLUID DID THE RADIATOR TAKE? sOMETIMES AN AIR BUBBLE CAUSES THIS. cAN ALWAYS BLEED THE SYSTEM AT THE BLEED PORT NEAR THE THERMOSTAT. USUALLY DRIVING DOESNT CAUSE THE TEMP TO GO UP.
