My car barely moves

it revs and revs, and barely gets going. i can get it up to 55 and all that but it takes a while. like, the engine will rev as high as i want, but im just not moving like i should i at that rpm.

clutch?
Axel?

I thought it was b/c i had a frozen brake caliper, b/c it was so slow. but i fixed it all. and its still slow.

does it just free rev when you step on it? If it just seems like its down on power I would pull the plugs and see what condition they are in. If they are fuel soaked or ashy etc. That might tell the story there, also when is the last time you changed your fuel filter?

to tell if its a slipping clutch:
get up to 40mph, and put it in 5th gear. then SLAMM on the gas. if the revs go wayyyyyy up, but the car doesnt go anywhere, new clutch time.

ya if you give it gas in any gear when ur goin and all the sudden it jumps to high rpms then its deff time for you to get a new clutch. i know here they are pretty spendy like 1000 bucks but i work at honda and i got mine done for pretty cheap. if u have one take it to break and clutch docters they do pretty good work and cheap price but that is if u have one where u live.

oh wait it might not be that spendy i also had them put in 2 new front axles in my car so those were like another 150 for the parts but labor was free cuz they got to take the axles out anyways. well good luck!

Its the clutch, Got any bad oil leaks?, if oil is slipping into the bell housing and onto your clutch, then you have days... maybe...if no oil leaks, then you have a week to two weeks tops, But its deffienently a clutch, next thing you know, you will be falling out of gear and idling in any gear you put it just like mine did, dont pound on it anymore either, youll end up killing your flywheel too thats another 100 bucks. go to a transmission place, i was only charge 600 for new clutch, pressure plate, bearings, and another 75 when they found out they couldnt resurface my flywheel
