brake lamp indicator

it recently turned on. not sure how to take care of this problem. would definately appreciate input.

The little lever that depresses down when the e-brake handle is down is not working...

What you do is remove the ebrake console(the one with the red warning labels) and tighten the ebrake cable (1, 8mm or 10 mm nut) and if that doesn't help the cause, tape on a small piece of cardboard to the clip that is supposed to be depressed when the ebrake is down.
