No crank to 91 2.0l

Hey guys,
New to the forum. Just purchased a 1991 prelude SI 2.0l manual.
I am having an issue with the car, mainly that it will not crank.
I can turn the key and get power to the interior and the starter relay clicks but after that nothing else happens. I replaced the starter yesterday but that did not change anything. Anyone know what the issue could be or have any troubleshooting pointers?
Thanks!

I would get a 12 volt live wire and connect it real quick to the solenoid on the starter to make sure there's nothing wrong with the starter. Hope your battery is fully charged?

Also gotta check the switch at the clutch pedal. Read once that there were two but can't confirm that.

Re: No crank to 91 2.0l

This thread must have gotten lost in all the spam we've been seeing lately.

Did they test your old starter before selling you a new one? Most auto parts stores can do this, and normally they don't charge you anything to test it.

I can't tell you how many times I've replaced a starter only to have the new one also be bad. It's more common than you might think. You can test it like Les suggested, but be sure you know what you're connecting the hot wire to.
