Icon5 Ecu help

Hello need a little help im refurbishing a 1990 honda prelude si 4ws with the b21 im currently in the process of of fixing all the little things and this year im going to finally start putting a turbo on it. Im going to build the motor properly and i understand everyone says get away from these motors due to the FRM walls but it is freshly rebuilt less than 7500 miles on it not sure exactly due to a bad vehicle speed sensor. Anyway my question is tuning the ecu i cannot find anyone or any info on chipping a 37820-PK2-L10 auto ecu is there a swap i can do and a harness i can make work? Any info is greatly appreciated.

Re: Ecu help

for chipping you probably need OBD1 swap there

so OBD0 MPFI to OBD1 convertion harness and OBD1 ecu?

I dont know is there anything else involved in that swap but contact some company like

HA Motorsports - Honda / Acura Engine Management Solutions
Xenocron Tuning: Fuel Management and DIY Tuning Resource Center for Honda and Acura Performance - Hondata, eCtune, Neptune, Crome, TurboEdit, Uberdata

Re: Ecu help

alright what i have been able to find is that a pr4 ecu will swap in but ill need to get a harness adapter for the new ecu. i can either splice into whats already there(just cut and solder the new plugs to it or i can use a harness. the harness would be the easiest way to go do you know who sells them and price estimate ? cause ive looked around and prices vary from like 15 to 100 and i dont want to buy something stupid and waste my time. so the ecu connections that are in it to the pr4 connectors. any info on that ?

Re: Ecu help

most people would convert to OBD-1 and use a P28 or a P72

Re: Ecu help

p28 doesnt have iabs, p72 does so depends what kind of IM youre having in your setup

check that HA motorsports:

OBD0 MPFI/DPFI to OBD1 ECU Jumper Harness (and then theres OBD0 MPFI to OBD1 Distributor Adapter but dont know do you need it?)

Re: Ecu help

The 90/91 Si 2.1, PK3 ecu, is already OBD1, no need to convert.

Re: Ecu help

I'm positive that the 90/91 preludes with the 2.1 L engine (b21a1) are OBD1. However, the pk3 ecu is not chippable so you'll have to swap in an ecu that is. The fuel injected 3rd gens with the 2.0 L engine (b20a5) are OBD0.
