wat motor is it? b21a1, b20a3, b20a5? if its the b21a1 there is no stopping it unless u rebuild it, i mean after all it is an 18 year old motor w/ probably over 200k miles, then it has frm cylinder sleeves!

What color is your oil after a fresh oil change, say after 1 week or at least 250 miles of driving? if it's black, then you have blowbye.

It could be a few things, like exhaust valve guides that causes the oil burning, but usually b20a5's are pretty strong motors and dont burn oil in their later age unlike b21a1's.

Chances are it's either the rings or the valve stem seals. I would guess the valve stem seals.
You are going to have to pull the head and replace them. It's a PITA, sorry.
Use viton replacements.
