Re: Air conditioner

If your system uses R12, you can't. It's no longer produced. I happen to have 110lbs of it stocked away and it's worth a small fortune.
If you car has been converted to 134a, it's available at any automotive parts store, hell Walmart sells it.

Re: Air conditioner

Sometimes you can find a shop which still has r12, but it's very expensive if you do find it.

Re: Air conditioner

I got a cheaper solution for you.

Have your system properly vacuumed, and then purchase this stuff off of ebay or right off of their site.

No need to convert to r134 you can charge up the system with the OE fittings.
You can get 3 cans off of ebay for around $25 shipped.

It operates at a lower pressure than R12 and R134, and is as cold as R12.

I have it in my 3rd gen, and my Camry.
If you have a small leak its easy to recharge and is not expensive.
