Mismatching suspension

Ok as you know getting hold of suspension for a 3rg gen is a pain in the ass, and thats especially bad seeing as I live in england. So I can get hold of some tokico shocks off ebay for $350 including postage. Thats not to bad considering the £ to $ is quite good.

So what I'm thinking is I get new shocks, and put some spax springs on it?

Good idea? Pro's and con's please everybody.

Thanks

P.S. If you know of any different shocks for our 3rd gens, please let me know.

Thanks guys

:28: the pound has always been good against the $ :28:

what are Spax springs? I've never heard of them...

I mean, Tokicos are readily available for our cars, i have them myself...
The other choice would be(if you can find) Koni reds & yellows...or just cheap OEM replacements. I think you're good to go with the Tokicos man.
(OH and i KNOW someone is going to mention a group buy on K-sport suspension...which is fine if you want to spend over a grand on them )

As for Springs(cause i have a feeling you may ask), there are a lot of choices and depending on how low you want to go, a few companies support our old cars

well the thing is I don't wanna just put some springs on there with the o.g shocks, sorry spax I think may be an english (?) company, but maybe a set of eibachs. but the thing is would it be a wise idea putting the springs on the tokico shocks?

Spax springs with Tokico shocks...what's wrong with that?

If you meant, Original springs with the Tokicos, then i would say:

Yeah spax with tokico shocks. Someone once told me that you should try to not mix your suspension. try get full suspension kits.
