Circle track lude b20a3 head on a b20a5 block

So i got motor out of my car and the b20a3 bottem end is ruined. I found another automatic lude unibody rusted but has b20a5 now so id like to refresh the motor a little but with a b20a5 block i want to use my b20a3 head... How much do you guys think i could shave the b20a3 head for the b20a5 block. Who makes a good cam for a b20a3 head?? Reason for is rules with sohc and being carb.

Not sure why you made a new thread. You could have just continued with your other thread for this.

There are no aftermarket cams for the b20a3. You're going to want to do some research in this forum and preludepower.com. I remember reading a thread years ago which discussed sending your cam to a company and they would regrind the cam, but the name of the company escapes me right now.

I can't answer your question about how much material you can remove. Maybe you can talk to your machinist, and he can do some measurements and give you his recommendation.

Yeah, that's the name. Thanks Sean. I didn't realize they are in Tacoma. For some reason I was thinking the company was in Canada.
