Icon1 I Need Help With Wiring

I just bought a 1989 honda prelude and i am having wiring troubles, i was wondering if anybody could send me a picture of the main relay wiring on each side and then a picture for the fuse box wiring diagram so i can figure out which fuses to check to know why im not getting fuel to the fuel pump, please and thanks.

Re: I Need Help With Wiring

First of all, welcome to the forum. Can you tell us what your problem is and why you suspect it's a wiring issue? Going on your first post, it sounds like you have a no start issue caused by no fuel. Is this a correct assumption? Have the wires been cut/spliced, or are they intact and unmodified? Can you hear the fuel pump running when you first turn the key on? If you don't hear the fuel pump running it's a lot more likely the problem is the main relay than a wiring issue. Have you tried doing the main relay fix? Here's a link to that...

Re: I Need Help With Wiring

Here are some of the pictures of my car, 250 thousand miles and its my first car, it needs a new gasket somewhere in the engine. the previouse owner ran the brake fluid low... really annoying i hope i can save this car. oh and the previous owner cut wires to the main relay and wired it up every time he wanted to wire it thats why i suspected wiring

Okay, lots of issues. What do you mean your ecu didn't have a good cound (ground?)? How did you determine this? The interior fuse box didn't come with a cover. Look inside the change holder below and to the left of the steering column. There should be a diagram pasted to the inside if I remember correctly. If not, look in the online service manual. Car looks decent. Better than mine did when I first brought it home on a trailer. There are lots of gaskets on the engine. Which gasket does it need? Running the brake fluid low allows air into the system. Proper bleeding will take care of that. As far as the wiring is concerned, The previous owner needs to be beaten severely about the head and shoulders. I'll never understand why anyone ever modifies a factory wiring harness. Good luck with that. Check with Helm's for the electrical troubleshooting manual for your year. Here's a link for that...http://www.helminc.com/helm/Result.a...elected_media=
