Re: How it sounds???

welp, it was filmed with a potato.

sounds like your valves need to be adjusted

sounds like when my CBR needed to tighten the cam chain because that bitch was rattling into everything. problem is preludes don't use those and we have a belt so that thicker knocking that occurred as you revved up might have sounded like.... rod knock.

this diagnosis is only coming from watching a ****ty video so im not 100 but it does sound like starting with adjusting your valves would be a great idea.

actually, drop your oil pan and check for metal shavings.

Re: How it sounds???

It's very difficult to tell anything from a video, but it doesn't sound like a rod knock to me. A rod knock affects how the engine runs, specifically the engine won't rev above about 3000 rpm's. And it gets louder when revving. Is your engine running normally? That "extra" noise could be coming from an accessory just as easily as it could be coming from the engine. Do as itsdatoneguy suggested and adjust the valve lash. Then see how it sounds. Make sure you adjust them properly though because it's easy to mess that up if you've never done it before. Here is a good write-up for doing that...Valve Adjustment

Re: How it sounds???

Had a friend listen to it today, he agrees with the valve tick. We might try it but might take it to a shop.
