Vtec conversion, what motor(s) you can swap in, a lot you need is in that thread.

Dont forget to search around!

It's very possible but I heard it requires to re deck the head and just is not worth the time and especially the money for the power you gain. But hey if you do it, it'll be sweet as hell.

HELL NO! vtec will only happen if you do a h22 swap. there is nothing in common with the b20a5/b21a5 engines and Vtec b-series... not even the cams. Someone misinformed you. If you want to live in the land of vtec, Save up for the h22 project or get a B-series vtec platform. You wanna get the looks, stick with the prelude, you won't regret it. BTW welcome.

It is possible to Vtec a B20a engine, if you search it on prelude power someone has done it but it costs more then buying a B16a engine. Plus it costs a bundle and it isn't worth the money for the power gain. They take a
B16a head and shave it and all that jazz to make it fit. But like I said it is possible but not very many have done it.

Realizing that you have the two bastard engines of the bunch and will spend hours upon hours and years upon years hearing people with dem fancy bigger engines and finishing your build then smoking there ass's - A big ass headache but still priceless....until you wreck it.

Man, I'm not interested in your funny header looking block son, trying to be a poor man's NSX with those carbon fiber inserts in the chambers. I've been nice not to rank on your quart-a-mile-burning b21 cause your my boy, but seriously the quart you burn is the same amount I spend on 93 gas for my GTO... LOLOLOL nukkah

Hey, I know peeps have done the head swap, but for hp increase, just get the h22 mounts, the block(with obd1 wiring) transmission and CV axles. that is ALOT cheaper that messing with heads, and fitments then under vtec the top springs a leak or something my brain can't think of at 0740 hours in the morning. I saw the progress thread for the headswap a long time ago. You'd be better off getting the ITB kit for the car. Besides that is a true upgrade... Prelude to Prelude swap.
