1FunRyd Performance - 88-91 Prelude 5 lug Conversion kit

OK guys and gals, I have been in talks with Chedda to produce a new part for us.

I am putting this out to see what is the real demand for a replacement 5 lug Conversion Hub.


Here is what it will consist of:

1. a replacement 5 lug hub that will replace the OEM 4 lug hub that will use the OE studs for the Honda 5 lug hubs.

2. It will be splined for the 90-91 spline count so you will use the 90-91 axles on both sides so that you have the stronger of the two versions of hubs as well as be ready for an H/F swap.

3. It will have all 4 corners(obviously but just had to state it.)

4. It will allow for the use of the 5 luge rotors. And Chedda and I are already talking about making spacers to all for a straight bolt up for those who want to go 4th gen vtec stock rotors and 5th gen rotors as well.

In order to keep the rear parking brake intact, we would only use the bigger rotors and stock calipers but you can use a bigger pad for your stopping.


I just ask for some respect in your posts so we can avoid all the unecessary drama. All opinions will be heard but ultimately we are the final say since we are the ones who are going to make it.

Required deposit:

Initial Deposit amount: $350
Estimated Cost: $850 for all for corners not including shipping and paypal fees.

Balance will be due once we have finished the prototype.

I know we do not have a definitive answer but as will all my projects I am pretty close to my estimates.

If the total costs change I will keep everyone apprised.

We are basing these numbers on supply of the hubs we will use for the fronts, and the material costs and labor as well.

So if our suppliers run out of hubs and we need to source another supplier I cannot guarantee the current estimate total above.

But based on my research with the current supply and other suppliers available we still will be under $1000 mark and be between the $800-$1000 range.

Some progress.....

Jordain picked up the parts I supplied so far and has begun the prototyping.
So slowly we are working this.

You will have to upgrade to the 4th/5th gen vtec calipers and stock 11" rotors front and rears with this conversion.

Bump for a fellow lude member!! Me personally- Im not interested in a 5 lug swap. I've had many civics before this prelude and I love the fact the 3rd gen is also 4x100 BC all my wheels fit.
