T.V CABLE TRAVEL

Hi guys. Got a 90 2.1 and was wondering, How much travel of the throttle bellcrank before the t.v cable starts to lift up the lever on the tranny? Feels Sloppy and shifts at around 3-4 thousand rpm's on medium acceleration.

Re: T.V CABLE TRAVEL

Les, the manual tells you how to do a 'pull' test on that cable. I'm thinking there was a special tool that gauged how much tension is on the cable.
Mine used to shift like you say yours does. Sometimes hard into 2nd n 3rd, but usually no harder than the accord tranny of that era.
