i decided to build a poormans NSX using 3gen prelude as these cars are so cheap to buy now.

I read once that the height of the hoods were almost the same. Hope it doesn't rain there.

Re: 3gen NSX australia

Please tell me you plan to add bracing to the chassis to stiffen it. The roof doesn't just keep the rain out of your car, it's also an integral part of the chassis. Cutting the roof off a car will cause enough chassis flex that it will significantly affect handling. Have you tried opening the doors yet? Over time the car will sag in the middle if you don't brace it up.

I am glad I am not the only one who thought the prelude would make for a good el camino. I have thought about doing it all the time. doesn't seem two hard, but in the end rather pointless.

Re: 3gen NSX australia

With this project the engine will remain in the front, the boot lid will be stretched and hinged so it will be a multi purpose nsx/ute. My other 3gen
project will be F40 with maybe midmount AUDI V6/V8 or toyota V6.

Why don't you just get an LS4 or NorthStar out of a Caddy? Both are transverse mount engines and I'm sure you could shoe-horn one of those into a 3G!!
