Wheel spacers yay or nay?

Hey pzers what do yall think of wheel spacers?
Thinkin bout chuckin some on the inx!

I'm always the final owner of any prelude I own.


I'd rather lose by a mile because I built my own car than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

Why are you thinking about wheel spacers? I can see using them if you are wanting to go with a wheel that has more offset than stock, but I can't really think of any other reason. Keep in mind that wheel spacers will put more stress on your wheel bearings. The bigger the spacer, the more stress that's transferred to the bearings.

I really like the look they give off and logic states would make it Handle better too, I'm after aesthetic opinions really

Is your car lowered at all? If it is, you might run into issues with the tires rubbing. If you really want to add spacers, I suggest that you stay under 1 inch to minimize the added stress to the wheel bearings.

Personally, I would just not do it...so I vote nay.

Fair call, nah it's nots lowered. Cheers for the opinions guys but why don't you like the look of them? I get each to their own so it's completely out of curiosity, I like the aggressive look it gives

I get the appeal of the aggressive look. But if I want that look I'd rather find some deeper dish wheels with less offset to achieve that look. Then I wouldn't have to use spacers, and looks much better IMHO. But I'm not as much about looks as I am about function. While a wider stance does improve handling, I'd have to raise my car back up to be able to take advantage of it, which would negatively affect my handling. That and the negative aspect of the increased stress on the wheel bearings makes it less appealing to me.

Having said all that, it's your car. If you want to use spacers then don't listen to us. You're the one who you need to please in the end.

An INX will look pretty cool cruising around with the wheels all poking out. Especially with some brand new agressive tires. For slow going Blvd cruising, sure why not? But for your hill climbing adventures or dodging koala bears, t'aint a good idea. You may need new (read longer) wheel studs too.
