Seatbelt dash light

Dont even ask. Yes I searched 12 pages of threads and read a bunch of crap and didnt see any answers so nyah.

Picked up the lude from the stealership today - sorry I missed the Nashville meet but no lude at 8am = no trip. They replaced the faulty seatbelt buckle for free and Im thankful I got that info here. Now the light has been flashing since I bought the car a month ago and I assumed that it was due to the aforementioned bad buckle. Well I get in and buckle up and Im feeling all safe and stuff and look up and my light is still flashing - buckle the passenger seat (no one in it but im just taking wild ass guesses at the cause at this point) and still the light wont quit blinking at me.

Any clues? I'll be more than happy to unplug something or whatever to turn off that friggin blinking light.

reset the ecu? I'm guessing they didn't do this when they installed the new part.

That's weird...

...did you unclip the sensor underneath the seat and also the one that resides in the rearview mirror housing?

Unclip the sensor in under the rear view mirror housing unit. And while you are at it unscrew the circuit board and smash the black cylinder with a hammer if it is beeping, or just unclip it and it won't beep anyways.

My 88 did that ....Only way I could make it stop was to get in the car, shut the door, put on the seat belt, then start the car. If I did it in that order it would not blink haha. Any other way and it blinked like that. Give that a shot.

My next step was to take the bulb out of the dash haha.
