Engine Swap

I'm thinking about getting an h22a for my 3rd gen but a friend of mine said I should get a k20... would a k20 fit?

k20=junk first there over priced, if you dont get the right one they really dont even have vtec (the 02 si civics k20s are more progressive camed then really having the big vtec kick) the rod bearing are smaller then the d15, Oh and good luck finding mounts for the k20 unless you know of some.

so what im trying to say with all that ranting is GET AN H22 AND STAY TRUE TO YOUR PRELUDE!!!!!!!

That is all

I have to disagree & agree with Mike de Miz...

K20A's are amazing engines, we're talking about the k20a's, not k20a3(Civic Si-2003-2005). Simply put, they are new technology. Here, i drove my friends RSX type-S, a short vid I made and really enjoyed driving this motor:

(FYI:I'm not driving at WOT)

Someone already attempted to swap in a k20a in our chassis, here take a read: engine swap
(i've seen pics too)

Now, where i 100% agree with Mike de Miz is that, YES, Stay true to the Prelude, do the h22 b/c 1)you can. 2) you can 3)it'll be faster than a k20a swap. fo` filly

Mike is also correct when they are expensive. JDM K20's range from $4000. and up. JDM H22's with transmission costs $2000. or so.

Where to get a h22 motor? uhh...here:Prelude Engine Importer Site List

Where to get mounts? - http://www.azracemachine.com/ - (I have these mounts sitting in my room)

If you had a Civic, i would say k20 all the way(Then again, if you have a Civic, we wouldn't be conversing). Pledge your allegiance. H Deuce Deuce

The K20 is far superior to the H22, hands down.

Though it'll fit... it wont funtion in the 3GP.

You're better off getting a standard Bseries engine in our bay, which have been done andhave worked well.

Try Hmotorsonline.com for the H22.. call them and ask for Steve, tell him Mario sent you and he'll work with you
