rear window de-froster

The rear window de-froster on my 90 Si has only one line that still works. The rest all appear to be damaged. However, I note that there are two cabin air exhaust ducts mounted in the rear deck. Have any of you ever connected a blower to those ducts to force air up onto the window for de-frosting? I've got a couple of ideas but would like to have some input to this one.
My main idea would be to locate a blower in the trunk area and feed its output to the ducts, using the existing RW de-frost circuit to power it.

Sounds like a pretty interesting idea...my rear defroster doesn't work either, only 2 lines. Previous owner had stickers and decals which i had to remove, albeit poorly

hmm.. mine work perfectly, all of them.
And the rear ducts already blow air on the window to defrost them.. at least mine does.

I looked over the defrost lines, too many broken in too many places. So I think the exhause vents are my next best idea. the next challenge is to figure out how to attach to them without disturbing the trunk rods. (or maybe, mod that too).

with all the modifications out there, does any one know of a mod to remove the spring rods and replace them with lift struts (like those used on a hatchback)?
