Disable Seat Belt Beeping & Seat Belt Replacement

(Main Points in Bold)

Hello everyone. My prelude finally is fixed after about 7 weeks of it being in the shop. For only 140 dollars of work (BS)

Anyway, so I finally get it back, its still in the same condition, but the oil leak and the gas situation are fixed.

Keep in mind this is just a between car.

But here is the main point in this topic.

1.)This damn beeping goes off everytime someone gets in the car when I pick them up, or when I am first getting in, and am already buckled up. Or even if someone gets in buckles up and it still beeps.

Does anyone know how to disable this beeping? It is driving me crazy!!!

2.)Also my car is pulling a Christine, every time my girlfriend gets in the car the passenger seat belt will not hold the clip, it just keeps letting go and won't hold it. Anyone know how to get in there to clean it out? Or a site where I can get a replacement for a decent price??

Thanks alot

1) Unclip the harness that is under your seat AND/OR unclip the sensor that is located right above the part that holds the rearview mirror.

2)Take your car to a Honda dealership, it's a free repair recall on seatbelt buckles.

3)You could've searched for this information, but it's all good

4)Get your post count up, let's see that, "in-between-car"

I did actually find the seat belt part after I posted this.

I didn't find anything else for the seat belt beep.

Forum searches never work correctly >_<

But thanks, I did remove the unit above the rear view mirror, there was a clip, is that for anything else besides the beeping?

^nope, you're good to go

Some people say it controls the flux capacitor, but then again, that was a poor attempt at humor on my part

Well that is funny, and Ironic, I had my wisdom teeth removed yesterday so today I was couch stricken and PSP stricken, and watched Back to The Future.

Anyway, I just ran out in the rain loaded up on Loritab and un-clipped it. It worked.

Here are a few pictures from before the oil leak and gas thing were fixed. I will post an actual topic tomorrow, or when I get out and take pictures of what it looks like now.

The gas tank issue

I know it is very very rusty, but I needed something with a stick to teach myself how to drive manual while I am trying to sell my 1995 Integra LS

I feel very glad that I have a decent little prelude, you should hit the previous owner upside the head with a shovel for letting her look like that!

That Lude has seen better days...what can you expect, you live in MN...snow, salt, more snow and beautiful women. GOD i love the twin cities, it is the jewel of the midwest i have to agree...

Screw that. Madison is a lot more fun than the twin cities. I agree though, salt is freaking lame.

I do wish she was in better condition, but it is just my training wheels.
Then either my cousin, my girlfriends cousin, my girlfriends best friend, or one of my friends said they will buy it after I sell the Integra.

I really do like the 3G so maybe I will get another one, but that depends on the funding I will have to modify it and get a better engine than stock.

Plus 3rd gen don't seem to have as many horse power options as some other cars on the road, mainly cars for super rich guys or people who use their cars to pick up chicks.

Which may be a good time for me to admit that I am a "hater" of these cars:
New Eclipses
Eagle Talons
Corvettes
Mustangs
Vipers
Camaros
You get the picture.

I have more respect for a car that starts out at 5,000 and gets modded so that it is faster than one of those $20,000+ cars that just look good.

I hope I am not the only person here who doesn't like people who use their car as a status symbol. Or have mommy or daddy buy a car that already is pushing 400 HP

I hate rich kids and their vehicles no matter what they drive. This makes me pretty much hate all new vehicles.... only rich people can afford a new vehicle. Or dumb people that don't understand something called 'insanely rapid deppreciation'. I don't get people who buy knew cars at all. Own it for 1 week and have it's value drop 4,000 dollars? Wow. Awesome. Where do I sign up? I'd much rather get a car for $1000-3000 and drive the piss out of it, and sell it 5 years later for $1000-3000. :)

<Shrug> who cares. I couldnt care less who paid for someone's car or didnt pay for it. The fact that I really enjoy the driving experience in an 18-year-old car and have the occasional joy of fixing something or finding a part I need. I dont have to be a hater to love my Lude. The fun factor of these cars and the company of people like the ones on this forum is something money cant buy.
