Unfortunately, the 90-91 tails wont fit your 88-89 rear bumper without some modification...such as: bumper, trunk lid, and some banging here and there...

...as for the short shifter, no one makes short shifters for us except a guy named Abe. Ko_Si would be his member name on another forum. What you can do though, is cut your shifter about 1 to 1.5 inch and it'll feel a lot shorter than the stock one...of course, i dont suggest it as i do love the "positive feeling" that the stock shifter(albeit 50 feet high lol!) feels.

welcome to PZ!

alright, thanks much.
so it would take some mods but the lights could be done.

also, my speedometer only works part of the time, any ideas about that?

3rd gen cut shifter - from www.prelude3g.com
http://mustardcat.brinkster.net/p3g/...cutshifter.htm

Bouncing speedo
http://mustardcat.brinkster.net/p3g/...docablefix.htm

most cases, you can simply unplug & replug the mechanical speedo connection that is attached to the gauge cluster, toward the bottom left side.

If you need a diagram, check my sig, there is a resource guide and manual to download as well. :popworm:

Cash68 can only hope to improve
It already has a short shifter. Go shift a 5spd Accord or Civic from the same era, then drive a prelude again. It's already a short shifter, from the factory.

^^You gotta check the code.
When the CEL is on, the car is in "Safe Mode," much like how computers become...

^try it.

If not, rip open your passenger kick panel, watch for the little red LED that blinks and count the code that way.

When checking for codes....

Drive your car around.

shut the car off, turn the key to the on position, place the jumper wire in the plug near the vacuum box, the MIL light will flash just like the red light on the ECU.
