DC headers.

does anyone know if 88' crx or 88'-91' civic DC headers will fit our 3rd gens.

Nope.

DC headers were hands down the best header, mass produced for the 3rd gens. Good luck finding one, it's like finding a vegetarian at Burger King.

They will yield a bit more power, the Hedman/Chikara/Tork-step(whichever way they spell it).

In your search for the DC, also look out for the Neuspeed header. That one also is the bomb-diggity for our cars.

good luck findin that header man, keep us updated. Remember even if it doesn't look great, you can always coat it with high temp paint. Just make sure the inside of the thing is clean.

any degreaser would be fine, just make sure that sucker dries rather quickly. You don't want moisture sitting inside that thing causing a rusty haze.
Actually on second thought I'm not sure if the excess degreaser burning off would hurt the o2 sensors. hm.

Cash68 can only hope to improve
Get it Jet Hot coated man. It'll look great as long as you have it, and it actually improves the performance of your car, as it traps the heat inside the header itself.

Unrelated, sorta: I had a dream about finding a DC header and trying to put it on this weird prelude last night. Some kid was dying of a brain cancer, and he wanted to mod his prelude, it was pretty crazy looking... his dad welded wheels together so they were super deep dish, but like metal steelies with the little punched out sections. It was pretty crazy.

People have built NA setups around the Chikara torque step header with nice results.... just an alternative. Hurricane headers also make a nice setup for us.
