Best place to buy an H22

I'm looking to go ahead and buy an H22 for my swap

I've looked through the websites on the Resource Guide but I just want opinions on which ones are the best and which ones people have ordered from before. I'm looking to spend about $2,000 on the engine package, shipped.

Thank you

Re: Best place to buy an H22

Go with HMotors. I did when I bought my H22A last week, which just shipped out today. The process was extremely easy with them. You can get just the long block for cheaper from other websites, but my dad's bought motors from HMO before and was extremely pleased, so thats who I went with.

Motor shipped out today btw. Look for about a 2 week turnaround, one week to process the order(no idea why it takes that long) and about a week, maybe longer depending on location, for shipping.

HM like mentioned or tiger japan. But I would check locals first. If your located in California threes quite a few places, especially in LA.

Re: Best place to buy an H22

Okay!

I've called a local guy (2 hours away) who has an H22, ECU and all the accessories BUT he only has an H23 transmission. From what I understand, the H23 transmission has lonnnnnnnnger gears and is therefore a bit slower off the line

This swap would cost me $2,000.

OR

I could order from HMotors, get the same thing (with the H22 transmission) for $2,050, shipped.

Which one should I go with? The "convenience" of having a local supplier with a slower speed or the full H22 experience with the hassle of dealing with a supplier days away.

What would you do?

Re: Best place to buy an H22

Is the person local a supplier or just some person with an h22 Latin Arround? And with HMO might you be getting An LSD trans with it?

Re: Best place to buy an H22

id rather go with hmo from what i understand they have quality rather then buying from a random person

they told me it was a little over 1k for h22 lsd transmission

Re: Best place to buy an H22

It's a local company. So their reliability seems legitimate.

Don't settle, get what you want, even if it means waiting longer.
