Head Gasket Question

Does anyone know if you have to take the intake manifold off to change the head gasket? I know the manual says you do, but I don't want to go through the hassle if it's not necessary.

Thank you

Re: Head Gasket Question

When I took mine off i left it together, but going back on. Take it off. Makes life alot easier, and remember the bracket going to the lower side you have to disconnect from the bottom of the engine.Goes to the intake and tranny i think. Also replace your seals on the hard line or they are going to leak.....

Thank you
I've done it both ways, and I think it's a little easier if you leave the intake manifold in the engine bay when you pull the head. It's definitely lighter to pick up, lol.
