Re: carbon fender

Personally, im fond of carbon fenders however i just recently heard of custom made from the high quality Scotchgard Di-noc (better than standard Di-noc for exterior on vehicle). They are a bit more glossy, giving the sporty look for such fenders.

How much does it weigh? How does it fit? How much do you want for a set?

Re: carbon fender

Why would you take what's arguably the lightest piece of sheet metal on the car and make it carbon fiber? I doubt it even weighs 10 pounds. If you really want to make something useful, make a sunroof delete panel that will just bolt into place of the glass panel. That glass is heavy, and sits very high in the chassis.

Glad you mentioned it.

I work with bullet resistant Lexan as a side job to boost my income. My best seller is the 1/2" thick intake plate. I'd like to get an extra sunroof assembly to mock up a bullet resistant Lexan glass replacer... as in fully functional.

If the ~0.9 sq/ft intake plate weighs less than 2lbs, I'd bet we could reduce that sunroof weight by a lot.

Re: carbon fender

the reason we made a carbon set of fenders is cause he wanted a set and i wanted to see if i could do it. i contacted my buddy he said a pair would run 800 cause has to make the mold and buy a set. everything he makes now is made with epoxy instead of resin. if u wanna check out his work go onto preludepower some of the guys on thier have his center console and shifter console. and honestly the sheet metal may of weighed 10 pounds but honestly carbon is still lighter and alot better lookin in my opinion. we used pure 3k carbon no fiberglass. no tryin to cause probs just wanted to clarify

Re: carbon fender

I hope you're not talking about that cyberblade6669 guy on perludepower. That didn't turn out so well for him.

Looks are definitely subjective, but how can you possibly make a piece out of carbon fiber look better than stock? Unless you're talking about the weave. In which case that's also subjective. I prefer painted body panels, but that's probably because I'm old school. Do you have a better pic of that fender? Maybe a high res pic so we can see it better.

Re: carbon fender

In the thread you need to read in 4 or five pages to where cyberblade shows up. "Results" of his work are on page 10 or 11 I believe. Unfortunately it's a small cell phone picture. Maybe if I see Ludahaze again soon I'll have him bring those parts and I'll take more pictures.

Re: carbon fender

Hey guys, please don't fall for this crap if they want money. This guy's buddy is an absolute ****bag who's been disrespectful to the 3g community with his high and mighty mindset. In my mind he's conned a fellow luder by exploiting pay pal and finalizing a transaction then sending the mcdonalds quality parts a month later, making it impossible for the buyer to make a claim and get his money back.

I don't want my fellow PZ luders to fall for anything should him or his friend come on here causing trouble.

If you make these, I'm sorry, but you do not have my backing, simply because you are associated with that seyberbablelblade guy. Hell, you could be him trying to scam members here.

ya im totally my buddy in disguise. i live down the street from him so i dont need to see the pics. if u guys dont like it then dont post anything. so ur tellin me it coo to call me a Dumb A** newb and go F%$#^@!& look it up instead of ask a simple question of which is better between the long block and short block. i of course now know quite a bit more than i did but hey if u all think thats fine then be my guest to bash but it will all come back the same. if u dont like his work then dont buy from him that simple. i dont scam people thank u very much. for ur info i havent worked on anything since the fender and those were one offs not from a mold. i have made fenders, 2 hoods, headlight covers and the conversions. that is it and i will say i didnt like it cause i didnt know what i was doin but dont expect things to be perfect. if u want something perfect then go buy vis parts or someone else who makes parts for our cars other wise dont expect it to be the gift of the gods. or if u wanna go ahead and make em urselfs please do. i not tryin to sell anyone anything i just thought u all might apreciate something new but like many people in the world all u can do is down grade people. as for the shifter console and the e brake cover he gave em to me cause he didnt like em and didnt want to clean em up so he gave em to me. so if u all dont want me here then say so and im out. if u wanna get over it and move on then do so and it will be dropped.

Here's the bottom line. Leave the drama at that forum.

I've got to see higher quality pics of the carbon fiber parts. An associate of mine sold carbon fiber so i have some idea...

Re: carbon fender

It is absolutely amazing not one damn thing changed on PP.com.

Off the bat Carbon fiber are for people who simply want their sh!t stolen faster, because there is no functional use in the real world. If it's for racing, swap the parts out when not racing.

Backyard work always looks the part. PICS or GTFO, who's sending money?

Prelude Power has many Keyboard Warriors, strong with the keyed weapon. Who cares? Didn't change anything. Thank you for bringing the news JoshuaXD. Just reading the pieces of the thread made me want to pour soda on my tower.

Is Pity City, Population: you

No one here had a problem with you until you typed in he's your buddy. Your choice to leave, or you can try to repeat "your buddie's" mistakes and find out the hard way. Anyone here will either ask you to search or toss you a link or tell you outright. Your attitude is appalling and you need to Stow it. So go on one of those life changing walks in a park or on the beach and decide what you want from this forum.
