OEM Floormats... where to find?

Where can I get new floormats for my prelude? Mine has really cheap rubber ones that totally suck. I'd like some legit honda ones, if possible. Do the dealerships still have any? Can they order some for me?

Thanks!

Nah, they are discontinued. It'll be real hard to find OEM 3rd gen floor mats.

If you can source yourself some 5th gen floor mats(also discontinued) they fit as well.

good luck!!

Re: OEM Floormats... where to find?

I found a set in 2 minutes. $75 by google-ing 3rd gen prelude floor mats for sale.
All 4 peices. Would've taken 1 but I read this thread first.

I don't have 4ws. Plus I just needed the rear ones. But those are real nice.

Re: OEM Floormats... where to find?

Thanks. I didn't buy the rear floor mats because nobody ever rides back there. And you can't even see the floor because my seats are nearly all the way back.

Did you see the link I posted under the picture?

Re: OEM Floormats... where to find?

I'm pretty sure my floor mats are after market. which doesn't bother me. But i'm wondering if anyone else has the problem of the floor mats eventually sliding under your pedals lol. Does this not happen with the OEM's or something. I wonder if there is a way you can anchor them into the floor. But that's something that thou simple, would kinda worry me.

Re: OEM Floormats... where to find?

Yes, the OEM mats slide up under the pedals. I came up with a solution. I found a car in the junkyard that had floor mat anchors and grabbed one. Then I installed it in the lude. After punching a hole in the floor mat I installed a large tarp grommet. No more sliding. Here are some pics...

Sure, you could do that. I don't like drilling holes through my floor though. When I installed that anchor, I drilled into an interior piece of floor bracing. I didn't go all the way through the floor. Plus, The way I did it you can easily remove the floor mat without needing any tools.

I can understand that. The only OEM floor mats I could find were old and faded. I wanted something that looks fresher. Good luck with your search.

Aftermarket battery? Should get a Honda battery. They cost the same as any other battery. (~$115)

What do batteries have to do with floor mats?

bykfixer was talking about trying to stay 100% OEM so I suggested why not go with a honda battery lol

Found these for my son's 93 today. $50 shipped to his house.

Oem mats are out there. Now trunk mats? That's proving to be a bit more daunting.

Those are 4th gen floor mats. Sure they'll fit, but I don't think that would count as oem for a 3rd gen.

Lol, sorry man...I definitely mis-read that part. I wear transitions too. I'm still trying to get used to them.

Just wait, you'll wake up one day and realize that you're ole too. And I don't take any medication so you won't hear me talking about that.

I was thinking that $115 was high too. I bought a NAPA 84 month battery for $75 last summer.
