XTD Clutches

Guy's, I'm in a bit of a situation. I can't really afford to buy a decent big brand clutch, a few people on prelude power are saying the XTD clutch isn't bad. I would rather trust the word of the PZ family. Does anyone else here have experience with it?

My dad and I are going to pull my transmission next weekend and do my clutch. He said that he thinks there is just oil on the clutch. He's an old american mechanic and only owns american cars with the exception of a few mercedes. I've never heard of oil getting onto a clutch. Oh well, any thoughts?

Re: XTD Clutches

i went to ebay found an exeddy clutch i think it was, for like 150 bucks, came with the pressure plate too, i was pretty happy with it and still am. after 3 years i finally bled the clutch and now i can actually feel the slight difference between stage 1 and oem

Re: XTD Clutches

My friend has an XTD clutch for his 88. I think it's what? 12lbs? When i drive his car it's super smooth and not that bad for stop and go traffic.

get it.

Like have told the people on pp.com. The XTD clutch has worked for me, but I do have the H23 swap in my lude. I have had it since 9-2009.

But if you do not trust them, then go to RockAuto Auto Parts and purchase the OEM replacements.

Re: XTD Clutches

I have this brand clutch in both of my Preludes, and I haven't had any issues. Shifts smooth through all the gears every time
