Re: auto trans problem

There is specific Honda Only Tranny fluid different from the stuff you can buy at autozone. you need to get this. It's a formality, and For something that costs as much as an engine to rebuild, i would not play around with any other brand.

back to your problem, when you say pull, you mean it's in drive and there' no response? the idle drop? any sign that the thing is engaged? might be your torque converter, because as a nasty thing people used to do, they either drive the car and never flush the fluid, until the sludge became the needed viscosity, clean wont do. Or, they'd put sand in the tranny to smooth out the kicks on a bad transmission. Sounds stupid, but people also believe 88-91 prelude b20's come from 96-2000 CRVs.

The best solution for now is take it to a reputable mechanic to run true diagnostics. if it's the torque converter or the Fin Blades Damaged, they can swap and replace those. usually replacing it for a 60,000 mile jdm unit for 300.00 takes out the guess work.

Re: auto trans problem

There are symptoms that you are going to see that there are indication issues hanging out. To start with the car just may not experience like it is managing like it normally does. Then you found that even when the car is not shifting or is shifting at a slowly amount the website is sporting very quick.
